Back from England!

*pours hot lavender tea into my favorite tea cup* I hope this helps my throat. I am so disoriented and sick right now. Evidently there was a sickness going around Aya-con [link] Matt, myself and others caught it. Thankfully it did not hinder our trip at all :) I went to bed last night at 4:00am woke up at 9:00am stayed up for a bit then fell asleep. I'm just how waking up at 8:00pm blarrrggg.

Anyway I'm done complaining. Our trip to England was fantastic! Matt and I were invited as guest to Aya-con which was held in a fantastic campus location. I really love smaller conventions, it allows people to get to know each other well. It was also a 18 and up con. There were bars open on campus where I was introduced to my new favorite drink called "Kopparberg pear cider" *drool* I hope that everyone enjoyed the panels that Matt and I hosted. I know that I'm not a great public speaker, I'm kinda shy when it comes to big crowds but truly hope people walked away with some new ideas that they can use in there own costumes! I have to say the most bizarre moment during the convention was during our "There will be Brawl" panel with Matt dress as a woman talking about the making of Brawl while a huge face of Matt Key (Luigi) loomed over us. Looks like something from Wicked haha! For anyone who went to Aya-con and said hello to us I just want to say thank you for making us feel so welcome. The people we met was the thing that made our experience so wonderful.

I made a new costume for Aya-con "Odessa the Sea Witch" I love the way it turned out but I'm thinking of having someone model it for a photoshoot. I know I've said it before but I just don't like modeling. It's much more fun for me to design and create and to help out behind the camera than it is for me to be in front. ANYHOW you can expect a photoshoot with a proper model with this costume later on ^_~

Mark and Matt hosting Saturday Night Live <3

Before leaving for London we went to Warwick Castle! I don't think I can express how much a love castles. I'm jealous of people who have such grand building from the old world that is only a train ride away. On the castle ground they have a working trebushay, a river that runs by the castle, jousting, a dungeon, everything you would want to see <3

After the convention the organizers were so kind to host us for a few days at their flat in London! We took a boat ride to see Parliament, walked to the Globe Theater, Tate Museum, and Tower bridge. We did a little shopping in Primart, Top Shop, and H&M, then had a drink by the Thames river. Truly a awesome place to hang out with new friends <3 During our down time at the flat Mark hosted a epic D&D campaign. P-Chan and mates fixed delicious breakfast every morning! They spoiled us with their hospitality!!
