How My Heart Behaves

Sometimes I have these daydreams where I'm adorning beautiful maidens in garments that transform them into delicate faeries with gossamer wings. I send them off watching them flutter illuminating the world they dwell in. Lately these dreams are becoming a reality. I find myself in far off lands doing just that. It's amazing how sometimes fantasies can come true.

Our latest adventure took us to Russia, Germany and the Netherlands. Kyle, Adella, Ginny and I took a two week trip attending two cosplay events (Cha-No-Yu in Moscow and a Cosplay Picnic in Dusseldorf Germany) as well as two photoshoots with Elsch and Kenny for our photo project.

We stayed at the flat of one of the organizers of the event (Cha-No-Yu). Anastasia was so sweet for letting us stay for the week ^^ We got a real taste of what living in Moscow was like. It was really strange having the sun still out at midnight. That mixed jet lag made for a hard time adjusting to the time there. Seeing the cosplay at the event was so inspiring. There was a Granado Espada group particularity that was flawless!

Kyle booked us a sleeping car for the long overnight train ride to Saint Petersburg. It was like camping on a train!

Before we get on the train we load up with drinks

We were only in town for a day for the photoshoot with Kenny. We shot at the beautiful Peterhof sometimes called the "Russian Versailles".

After the shoot we headed back to town to do some site seeing and grabbed a bite to eat.

It seemed like that day lasted for a week. At midnight we said our goodbyes caught the train back to Moscow then prepared for our flight to Germany.

For our second photoshoot Elsch modeled at Kaiserpfalz Kaiserswerth castle ruins ^_^ I felt like a kid at a playground! We climbed all over it. Even Elsch in high heals made it to the crumbled tower top XD

The next day was the cosplay.com meet and greet. I got to hang out with so many talented cosplayers there! Even though it rained the first part of the day it later turned out to be beautiful. Thank you guys so much for hanging out with us! I know that all five of us were happy to meet the people we only get to see online <3

The last day of the trip Adella's friends Kim and Monette took us to see Castle De Haar in the Netherlands. I can easily say it was the most fairy tale like place I have ever visited! T-T I'm so jealous that people in Europe have access to such beautiful locations.

We lingered a bit too long at the castle when we realized that the next bus back to the train station was arriving soon and it was about a mile walk away. So we started running to try to make it in time. Jogging to the bus stop we were trying to hitch a ride back holding out our thumbs XD A farmer on his tractor stopped and said he could not fit us all on his tractor but he would try to stop the bus for us! He drove ahead of us and parked his tractor right in the middle of the road to stop the bus!! We made it in time and cheered him on when he passed by ^_^

It was such a adventure seeing and experiencing things I will never forget! A big thanks to Kyle for making it happen, Adella and Ginny and Jacky for being awesome travelers and all of our new friends from across the world <3

Until next time
XOXO
